The Bradbury never fails to leave a tour group breathless. The plain exterior hides one of the most gorgeous interior spaces ever conceived. If you love architecture or history, then the Bradbury must be seen. Be sure to read the historic sign out in front of the building too! The story of the Building is really fascinating as well.

I’ve had this on my list for awhile. The experience didn’t disappoint. It’s a simple ride for $1 either direction and well worth it. Take your kids, explain to them the significance of Angels Flight & its history. There are many locals who do not even know of its existence! Keep it alive!

The funicular has operated on two different sites, using the same cars and station elements. The original Angels Flight location, with tracks connecting Hill Street and Olive Street, operated from 1901 until it was closed in 1969, when its site was cleared for redevelopment.
The second Angels Flight location opened one half block south of the original location in 1996, with tracks connecting Hill Street and California Plaza. It was shut down in 2001, following a fatal accident, and took nine years to commence operations again. The railroad restarted operations on March 15, 2010. It was closed again from June 10, 2011 to July 5, 2011, and then again after a minor derailment incident on September 5, 2013. The investigation of this 2013 incident led to the discovery of potentially serious safety problems in both the design and the operation of the funicular.
Before the 2013 service suspension, the cost of a one-way ride was 50 cents (25 cents for Metro pass holders). Although it was marketed primarily as a tourist novelty, it was frequently used by local workers to travel between the Downtown Historic Core and Bunker Hill. In 2015, the executive director of the nearby REDCAT arts center described the railroad as an important “economic link”, and there was pressure for the city to fund and re-open the railroad. After safety enhancements were completed, Angels Flight reopened for public service on August 31, 2017, now charging $1 for a one-way ride (50 cents for Metro pass holders).

Its an architectural masterpiece. The design of the building is spectacular. Its a photographers dream to shoot next to it. The inside is wonderful as well, except one thing the carpet need to be update long time ago. great place. best place to look around and enjoy the looking stuff. i love going with y amazing family. we all enjoy even some on my kids enjoy it. i have fun discovering what the stuff seems like and what they are. fun to examine

I didn’t know this place could be toured while not active in concert or event. Loved the beautiful architecture and there’s many nice vantage points for epic photos. Looking forward to returning for a Philharmonic Concert for the New Year one day!

Beautiful set up and presentation. Came with a friend with Japanese heritage and had lots of discussions through out the tour. Multiple thought-provoking sections that defines the Japanese American culture.

Reserve tickets in advance for easy access. $16 is the price of admission. No food and drinks allowed. I had quite a head rush to the start of my museum experience after chugging 24 ounces of iced coffee….

This is a great area with lots of options for wonderful food and shopping. Pretty large plaza with everything you could possibly want. If I could, I would just walk around and eat something from every single food establishment.

Parking is easy, plenty of parking lots and garages in the area.

They do events and such in the area as well, but the days I come happen to be when there is nothing going on, and I actually prefer it. Less people, more space for me to explore.

Family friendly, every tourist has to visit at least once!

We were craving Japanese food and we decided to make the drive to Little Tokyo, great choice. Walking around all the shops.we found the perfect spot, greatselection of sushi.
Ice cream shops are amazing.

Nice place to hang out with family and friends! Molcajete Dominguero had an event right there. Music. Artisan ice cream and food. Clothing and more!
